A message from Theta Zeta

My name is Ryan Prince and I have the utmost privilege of serving as the Chapter President of the Theta Zeta chapter of Alpha Gamma Delta. In Alpha Gamma Delta, we understand that there is absolutely nothing an empowered group of young women cannot achieve. We live in the values of the women before us and strive for excellence. We are a diverse group of young women, but we understand that our differences only make us stronger. College is scary. For the first time, you will be away from home and must make decisions for yourself about where you will go, what you will do, and who you will do it with. It can be very scary to take on that challenge alone! As an older sister, I came into college knowing how important it is to feel like somebody has your back. Sisterhood is the absolute deepest love a person can have, so I knew immediately that I wanted to go through recruitment to experience that love in my new home at Randolph-Macon. Once I was in Alpha Gam, I was guided by my older sisters and encouraged to achieve my full potential. I was incredibly shy in high school, but my sisters loved me into showing my true self and being confident in her. It is an honor and a privilege to do that for my younger sisters now, and it is mind-blowing to watch each of them blossom into their full potential. We are built on the legacy of women before us that set forth key values for us to live in our lives. We hold these values dear to us, and are united under them. We strive to hold each other accountable to these values, and celebrate each other for upholding them even when it may be difficult. Alpha Gamma Delta does not leave our sisters when they graduate. I have met my lifelong friends, my bridesmaids, and my favorite ladies to call when I need a laugh. Alpha Gamma Delta is a soft place to fall at the end of the day, the warm blanket that soothes even the most complicated stresses, and the home you start to miss even when you are at home.
